The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain-Tuscon.Venture into the lush desert surrounding The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain and relax amongst the majestic Saguaro cacti (that only grow in this region and loom, somewhat comically, like characters from a cartoon strip) and the bordering Tortolita Mountains. Guest rooms feature Mesquite woods and rich, bold fabrics in earthy tones. Each one has a king-size or double-queen bed, while the spacious guest suites offer two balconies and panoramic views. Casitas, meanwhile, are small Spanish-style houses hidden away in Wild Burro Canyon. And, because The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain is such a peaceful and isolated resort, star-gazing is a 'must-do' activity while here, with the Little Dipper making an almost daily appearance in the night sky.
The Phoenician-Scotssdale. Nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Phoenician offers a luxurious oasis for relaxation and recreation among the region’s dramatic desert scenery. Guest rooms and suites in the main building combine the rich colours and textures of the American southwest, while luxury casitas scattered alongside the resort’s lagoon offer hideaway suites with travertine fireplaces and superb views of the tiered oasis of waterfalls and pools, lush tropical landscaping, tree-lined fairways, cactus garden and twinkling city panorama.
