DAY1-2.London.After arriving in London, you will spend two nights at y0ur hotel. During your two days stay Visit the Tower of London and view the dazzling Crown Jewels. Next, see Tower Bridge before continuing to St. Paul’s Cathedral. Proceed to lively Covent Garden, London’s first planned square, where you may enjoy lunch at leisure on your own. See Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. Then, take a flight on the London Eye for spectacular panoramas of the city. Day 3-5.Fort William.Wake up to the realization that you are heading to the north of Scotland for an incredible three nights spent travelling the shoreline of Loch Ness, sampling world famous whiskys, and visiting Glenfinnan Viaduct, now known as the Harry Potter Bridge. Transferred via private car to the airport, you’ll take a short flight to the small airport in Inverness. When you land, collect your rental car, turn on the radio and start practising your colloquial Scottish phrases of ‘aye’ and ‘wee’.A ten-minute drive from the airport, the historic Culloden Battlefield is the site of the bloody last battle between the Jacobite Rising and the English army. Freely walk around the field to stretch your legs and take in the breathtaking scenery of Inverness. Head west towards Loch Ness and hug the shoreline until you reach Fort William (1 ½ hours), keeping a sharp eye out for the national treasure, the Loch Ness Monster. In Fort William, you will stay in the majestic Inverlochy Castle Hotel, which is located on the banks of its own activity-rich loch. Day 6-7.Isle of Mull.During this part of the tour you will stay at the very north of the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides, using Glengorm Castle as a base to drive along the white beaches, bright blue waters and steep cliffs of the island. For a full day out, drive along the west coast of Mull to Fionnphort, making sure to look out for the golden and white tailed sea eagles, and catch a ferry to Staffa Island. Exploring the most dramatic of all the Scottish islands, you’ll walk into Fingal’s Cave and perch on the edge next to the fascinating puffins. On your way back, you might float along with curious dolphins and minke whales and stop off at the Isle of Iona, the birthplace of Scottish Christianity. Just a few minutes from Glengorm Castle, make sure to visit the multicoloured waterfront town of Tobermory for some deliciously fresh fare and a wee dram of local whisky.Accomodation Glengorm Castle
Day 8-9.Edinburg. Today you will be driven to Edinburg and will spend the final two nights here. The Balmoral Hotel. Best Time to Visit:
The best time to go is between spring and autumn, though the best months are between June and September.The Months during summer especially June, July and August are very busy and Scotland’s peak season for tourism, with the busiest period during the School summer holidays. You can experience lovely sunny days, however you can’t always guarantee the weather at this time and can expect varied weather patterns, but the days are often generally mild and enjoyable, the largest advantage of this time of year is the daylight hours, with daylight reaching 10pm or beyond the further north you go. August in Scotland can be a great time to have a holiday in Scotland with many events taking place like Highland Games and Festivals, but this can also have a large impact on accommodation with many places booked up very early.
