Along the Danube 


Day 1: Budapest.Arrive in Budapest, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, join your fellow guests and Resident Tour Director for a welcome dinner.Accomodation Continental Hotel Budapest 
Day 2: Budapest.Visit a Baroque castle and its botanical gardens in GödöllÅ‘, and then board your river ship in Budapest for priority embarkation. Enjoy a welcome cocktail prior to dinner. This evening, cruise through Budapest, passing under the illuminated Chain Bridge while a gypsy band performs on board
Day 3: Budapest.Visit Buda’s cobbled, medieval streets, and then Pest, with its wide avenues and 19th-century buildings. After lunch aboard, choose an optional excursion to Szentendre. 
Day 4: Bratislava, Slovakia & Vienna, Austria.Arrive in Bratislava, Slovakia, to visit its old quarter. View St. Martin’s Cathedral and Grassalkovich Palace. Back on board, enjoy a private pre-dinner cocktail party. Cruise to Vienna for an optional evening excursion.
Day 5: Vienna.Set out on a Connections-exclusive excursion to Schönbrunn Palace, where you join in a strudel-making demonstration. Enjoy time at leisure in Vienna with lunch on your own (or included aboard ship). Enjoy Category A seating at a “Sound of Vienna” concert in the opulent Kursalon.
Day 6: Dürnstein & Melk.Today, take a walking tour in pretty Dürnstein, where King Richard I was once imprisoned. Later, visit the Melk Abbey, set marvelously high above the valley.
Day 7: Linz.Your choice of optional excursions today include: walking tours in Linz and Passau or a full-day excursion to Salzburg that includes lovely Salzkammergut. Tonight, the captain hosts a gala dinner on board.
Day 8: Nuremberg & Regensburg.On a Connections-exclusive excursion to Nuremberg, Germany, privately tour a World War II art bunker. Visit the city’s altstadt (old town) and Imperial Castle, then see the Palace of Justice, site of the War Crimes Tribunal of 1946. Tour Regensburg before a Bavarian-style celebration on board.
Day 9: Munich.Disembark in Passau. Drive to Munich for a walking tour of the old town with a local guide, with time to explore Marienplatz and the Frauenkirche, the city’s landmark cathedral. Tonight, gather for a farewell dinner.
Day 10.MunichToday, transfer to Munich airport for your flight home.
