Itinerary

Day 1 – Rio de Janeiro.Fly to Rio de Janeiro where upon arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be free for you to relax.Accomodation Copacabana Palace Hotel

Day 2 Rio Carnival. This morning you will be met by an English speaking guide and taken on a private full day tour to the most iconic sight in Rio de Janeiro, the Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado Mountain.  The views from the top on a clear day are sensational. You will continue on to visit some of Rio’s famous beaches and finally to visit one of the large street parties that take place throughout the city, the Banda de Ipanema. The Banda de Ipanema bloco attracts up to 1 million people and cross dressing is de rigeur! In the evening why not head to Rio Scenarium for a night of dancing and superb live samba.

Day 3 Rio Carnival. This day is one of the two big days during Rio Carnival so you may want to spend the day relaxing on a beach as the evening sees the first of the two big nights at the Sambadrome. You will head to the Sambadrome tonight where you will be located in sector 7, in Frisa Row A seats, in the heart of the Sambadrome runway offering excellent views and within touching distance of the performers. If however you would like seats in a different sector or a box we can arrange this too.

Day 4 Rio Carnival.Tonight we recommend an optional return to the Sambadrome for a once in a lifetime experience and the chance to take part in the Sambadrome parade itself. We cannot recommend this experience enough as it will be something you talk about for years to come. We will arrange your costume and bring you to the Sambadrome where you will meet your samba school and be taught what to do. No specific samba skills are required to take part in the parade just a big smile and a lot of energy to keep dancing for up to an hour down the Sambadrome runway. At the end of the parade you get to keep your costume having just experienced one of the best things you have ever done in your life

Day 5 Rio Carnival. This afternoon you will be met by your private guide and taken on a trip to Sugar Loaf mountain with entrances included. From the top of the mountain are wonderful views of the southern beaches and the bay. It’s a spectacular sight to watch as the sunsets and the lights come on all over the city.

Day 6 Rio Carnival. On your last day, you will be taken to the apirport to catch your flight home
