Itinerary

Day 1.Salzburg.Your Salzburg Music Festival short break starts with a private transfer to your hotel from the airport. Evening at leisure to soak in the atmosphere in Salzburg and to explore the centre of the city. Accomodation Hotel Goldener Hirsch

Day 2.Salzburg.This private tour will show you the main sights of the beautiful city of Salzburg. You will see the Mirabell Castle, Mozarts birthplace, the horse fountain and St Peters Cathedral. This evening you will attend the Music Festival.The highlights will be the return of the play “Jedermann” by Hugo von Hofmannsthal in the Cathedral Square, along with Verdi's Il Trovatore with Anna Netrebko in the Festival Hall.Under the direction of Sven-Eric Bechtolf, a new production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro will be performed. In addition Iphigénie en Tauride opera will also make a reappearance with Cecilia Bartoli in the lead role.

Day 3.Salzburg.Day at leisure to use your Salzburg Card. This gives you free access to most museums, free use of the Fortress Funicular and the Untersberg Cableway. There is plenty to see in Salzburg with choices ranging from Mozarts residence, Hellbrunn Castle, Dom Quarter Salzburg.Alternatively we would recommend you take one of the optional extras such as the Half Day tour to Berchtesgaden or the Half day Sound of Music Tour. 

Day 4.Salzburg.Morning at leisure prior to your private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
