Itinerary

DAY 1: LISBON.Arrival and transfer from Lisbon airport to the hotel.Accomodation Four Seasons or Similar

DAY 2:LISBON.After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Lisbon and surrounding areas. Cross the bridge over the Tagus, from the other bank, take in the amazing views of Lisbon and its hills.Stop by the Torre de Belém, visit the Monastery of Jerónimos (both classified as UNESCO World Heritage) and the Coach Museum. Continuing along River Tagus, also visit Alfama, a charismatic neighbourhood immersed in history. Return to Marquês de Pombal square, via the monumental Praça do Comércio, Rossio, the heart of the city and Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon’s main boulevard. You may try one of its many cafes for lunch.We depart from Lisbon for Sintra, the town where the royal family spent their summers. You will visit the town’s National Palace*. There is some free time to peruse the local handicraft stores or try some of Sintra’s famous pastries. We head to Cabo da Roca (the most westerly point of mainland Europe) and continue along the coast. Before returning to Lisbon, we visit Estoril, with its famous Casino.

DAY 3:LISBON.Day at Leisure.Option tours available on request.

DAY 4:CASABLANCA.Arrive in Casablanca and transfer to your hotel.Accomodation sofitel casablanca tour blanche or Similar

DAY 5:CASABLANCA-FEZ.Explore vibrant Casablanca, visiting the ornate Hassan II Mosque, the tallest religious structure in the world. Drive to Fez and check in to your hotel.Accomodation Riad Fès or Similar

Day 6:FEZ.After breakfast, the whole day will be devoted to discovering FEZ, the oldest of the Imperial Cities, which is well known for its spiritual and educational contributions to the Moroccan culture. Visit of the medieval Medina. You will also explore the famous souks where craftsmen still labor in the age-old oriental tradition. Lunch at leisure, continue sightseeing in the afternoon.

DAY 7:FEZ-SAHARA DESERT.rive south, through the scenic cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the green Ziz River valley, into the Sahara desert. When the last paved road ends, (at the oasis town of Erfoud) change to a 4X4 vehicle for transfer to your private desert encampment. Spend the night by the legendary dunes of Erg Chebbi, perhaps the largest dunes in the Sahara. Take a dune walk to watch the glorious sunset, and then savor a traditional Berber dinner under the beauty of the Saharan night sky.

DAY 8- SAHARA TO OUARZAZATE .Arise early to take a short camel ride and witness the sun rising over the desert dunes, the perfect preamble to your 4x4 adventure in the Sahara desert.Take a nature walk to explore the dramatic natural scenery, before continuing west to the oasis of Ouarzazate.Accomodation Le Berbère Palace or Similar

DAY 9-OUARZAZATE-MARRAKECH.Spend this morning exploring Ouarzazate, site of countess movies from Lawrence of Arabia to Gladiator. Visit the Kasbah Taouirirt, and the UNESCO-restored Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an impressive 11th century structure with high, elaborately decorated pisé walls, crenulated ramparts, and arched babs.This afternoon drive to Marrakech, the second of the four Imperial Cities.Accomodation Villa des Orangers or Similar

Days 10-11: MARRAKECH.Uncover the secrets of Marrakech, including the architectural attractions of its medina, the old walled section of the town. See the minaret at Koutoubia Mosque; Dar Si Said; the Saadian Tombs; Bahia Palace; and the famed Djemaa el-Fna square. The next day, delve into Moroccan cuisine during a hands-on cooking class led by a local chef. Afterward, take a horse-drawn carriage ride to discover the lush flora of Marrakech at Menara Gardens and Majorelle Garden.

DAY 12: MARRAKECH.Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.

Best Time to Visit:
Early June: Marrakech Folk Festival with dancers and musicians from all over the country. August: Fantasias, high-spirited displays of horsemanship during the moussem (pilgrimage) of Moulay Abdallah Amghar near El-Jadida. September: The week-long Festival of Volubilis with international musicians and dancers.
